Former Chelsea player Frank Lampard has said his former team will regret a draw against Atletico Madrid when the Champions League's last 16 draw has brought them together with a strong team.
Chelsea had to settle for second place in Group C after just one point against Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge. First position occupied AS Roma which in different places beat Qarabag 1-0.
By being in second place, Chelsea also has the possibility to face strong European teams who become group winners. And the potential opponents they can face are PSG, Barcelona and Besiktas.
"The chances that Chelsea were wasted in the second half, I think it was a competent performance. The first half they were fine, so was the second half," he said.
"They respond well when trailing 0-1, but when you create four or five chances, that's what you should maximize," he continued.
"When the big 16th round draws out, and if they get one of the bigger teams, they will regret the outcome of this match," he said.
